Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know about our assignments, approach and terms of intervention.

Our assignments

Which types of organizations do we support?

We primarily support industrial, technical and multi-site companies using SAP PM & MM to manage their maintenance activities, warehouse management, technical purchasing and operational monitoring. We work with maintenance, methods, operations, engineering, purchasing, supply chain, technical warehouse or SAP support teams when the organization wishes to improve its processes, enhance its data or strengthen team efficiency.

Which countries do we operate in?

We primarily operate in French-speaking countries: Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland and Canada, with the possibility of supporting certain projects remotely depending on the context, needs and required level of interaction with teams. For assignments requiring strong field understanding, on-site presence may be recommended during diagnostic, workshop or implementation phases.

What is the typical duration of an assignment?

Duration depends on the scope, complexity level and objectives to be achieved. A short diagnostic assignment may last a few days to a few weeks. An optimization, data reliability or operational support assignment may extend over several weeks or months. Each intervention is framed upfront to clearly define objectives, deliverables, intervention pace and priorities.

Do we work as a team or with a single consultant?

Assignments are primarily carried out by an expert consultant to ensure a direct, coherent and highly operational approach. Depending on project needs, FAD Consulting can also collaborate with the client's internal teams or other specialized contributors already present in the organization: maintenance, purchasing, warehouse, IT, SAP, finance or methods. This approach allows us to remain agile while ensuring good coordination with stakeholders.

Our approach

How does a first meeting go?

The first exchange allows us to understand your context, challenges and difficulties encountered in using SAP PM & MM. We generally discuss your current processes, operational pain points, priorities, the teams involved and expected results. This exchange then helps determine whether a targeted assignment can bring real added value. The objective is simple: quickly clarify your need and identify the first possible action leads.

Do we offer standardized solutions?

No. FAD Consulting does not offer standardized or field-disconnected solutions. Each assignment starts from your real context: organization, processes, SAP maturity level, operational constraints, data quality, team functioning and business priorities. We may draw on structured methods, but recommendations are always tailored to your environment and objectives.

How do we involve your teams in the assignment?

Teams are involved from the earliest stages of the assignment to understand actual usage, field constraints and friction points encountered daily. Depending on scope, this may take the form of interviews, workshops, concrete case analyses, data reviews, process tests or best practice clarification sessions. This involvement helps build realistic solutions that are better accepted and easier to embed over time.

Fees & terms

How are our fees structured?

Fees are defined according to the type of assignment, scope, estimated duration, expected intervention level and associated deliverables. FAD Consulting can offer several formats: short diagnostic assignment, fixed-fee engagement over a defined scope, daily rate intervention or longer assignment depending on the organization's needs. A clear scoping is carried out before each assignment to align objectives, intervention modalities and budget.

Do we offer a results commitment?

FAD Consulting commits to the quality of analysis, relevance of recommendations, compliance with the defined scope and production of usable deliverables. Operational results also depend on factors internal to the organization: team availability, initial data quality, management decisions, implementation capacity and practice adoption. Our commitment is therefore to provide a rigorous, concrete and impact-oriented intervention with realistic and directly applicable actions.

Is it possible to start with a short assignment before committing further?

Yes. It is entirely possible to start with a short diagnostic or targeted analysis assignment. This first step allows assessment of the situation, identification of main friction points, prioritization of improvement areas and determination of whether more in-depth support is relevant. It is often the best way to start on a clear basis with a controlled scope and quickly identifiable value.
